The gap, and what is being done about it

Org Design says which competencies the future state demands and which the current one supplies. This is the other half: which of those gaps matter, and which lever closes each.

    What this studio does

The org model already computes what proficiency each skill needs today and what it will need in the future state, per team, weighted by the people who would actually be trained. What it does not do is say what anyone intends to do about the difference. This studio takes that gap analysis as its input and turns it into a talent plan — training being one lever of three, not the whole answer.

It refuses the two shortcuts that would make it look more decisive than it is. Nothing is judged material until somebody declares what material means, and the assumption underneath the whole model — that today’s workforce roughly meets today’s demand — is stated on every figure rather than quietly treated as a measurement.
